Tennis Workout


Lately I’ve been thinking… I miss playing sports! I may be working out all the time but it’s just not the same as playing a sport. I miss that competitive drive, being part of a team, and working to improve your skills with the end result of becoming a better player. So I recently decided to pick up playing tennis!

Let’s be real, I’m pretty bad haha. But I’m having SO much fun with it and I can’t wait to get good enough to play in a league.

The past two times my boyfriend and I have gone to the courts to play for a bit, we decided to add some rules. If you play tennis try this out to get even more of a workout than just a regular tennis match or rallying with friends.

So warm up and then start playing a normal set or match, and add these rules…

  • Every time you score a point do 1 Star Jump (that’s your celebration!)
  • Each time you lose a game, run 1 Shuttle Run (run the length of the court and back two times)
  • If an ace get’s scored on you, do 30 Mountain Climbers
  • Between every game, each person does 5 Burpees or 5 Push Ups, you choose!
