Want to know something really interesting about fruits and vegetables? They are good for you! Oh, you already knew that? Just kidding that’s not the interesting thing I’m going to share with you today ;)

What IS interesting, is that you can categorize the health benefits of various fruits and vegetables by their COLOR!

Fruits and veggies that have similar colors, also have similar phytochemicals & anti-oxidants – which provide our bodies with a multitude of health benefits! Here’s what you get from each…

RED = Benefits your heart and lung health! Specifically helps to REDuce inflammation and REDuce your risk of heart disease. (Great sources: red bell pepper, cranberries, tomatoes, red apples, chillis, beets, strawberries raspberries etc.)

ORANGE = Great for skin health and DNA protection, decreases risk of various cancers. (Great sources: carrots, butternut squash, pumpkin, oranges, orange bell pepper, peach, nectarine…)

YELLOW/GREEN = Excellent for eye health and bone health. Plus, greens have anti-cancer properties! (Great sources: spinach, kale, avocado, lemon, pears, pineapple, chard, so much more…)
